Like a stick of dynamite, after a slow, shaky start this story explodes. It's a book that rolls around in the dirt. Everyone's corrupt and everyone's a brawler. Aida, the female lead, included.

She takes no prisoners. So, it's a little surprising when she acquiesces so easily to an arranged marriage. But, there's loyalty amongst thieves as the two rival families are forced to work together to build a powerful new alliance.

The best part for me was Callum and Aida's feisty fighting and bedroom fireworks. Their wedding kiss is an absolute classic.

Overall, a light, easy read.
